iANT College Counseling

iANT's College Counseling program is our holistic and leadership driven half of our comprehensive high school curriculum designed to assist students in achieving extra-curricular goals and finding their future career paths. While academics are always going to be important to our students the College Counseling program is what makes iANT special. Our goal is not to blindly push students into a series of classes but to work with students to find an objective behind the rush of high school academics and allow them to mature into adults that are independent and capable. While this approach might not payout with immediate results in the short term the long term ramifications of approaching students with options and allowing them to explore and learn with a guided objective is without a doubt incredibly significant. Therefore, the earlier students explore our program the more likely will see better results.
It is also because of this our College Counseling program is entirely done through one on one time with our team's counselors. No two students are similar and therefore no two students will see the same approach to high level education. We place each student with a dedicated counselor who works to customize a flexible approach for each student based on long term experience.
The last part of our college counseling program of course involves the actual action of applying to colleges. This part is the most intensive and time consuming part of the process. At this point students are presented with the incredible expectation of somehow consolidating all of their accomplishments into a single application while still retaining their ability to sound individual and mature. Students will struggle immensely with trying to find a healthy medium between putting down all of the important details will still somehow writing in a manner that exemplifies their academic accomplishment. Our program works to help alleviate some of the stress of this process by assisting students with finding topics, cleaning up their essays, guiding them through the process as a whole, as well as answering questions. The number of misconceptions and misinformation that plague parents about colleges is extremely high. It is therefore imperative that parents and students work together with their counselor to find an answer to their questions rather than simply trust unproven and unsubstantiated assertions from untrained sources.
